Guillermo "Will" Camacho
From the time I was young, horses have been at the heart of my life. My grandmother Elsa once gave me a card that read, “William - lover of horses,” and those words & her encouragement have guided me ever since. Growing up around both American and Mexican cowboy traditions in Moses Lake, Washington, I learned the true meaning of hard work, respect, and commitment to animal care.
Along the way, mentors like Dr. Dwayne McIntosh, along with the teachings of horsemen Buck Brannaman and Ray Hunt, shaped my approach. Thier philosophies—centred on trust and understanding—resonated deeply, setting the foundation for my own work with horses.
At 22, I moved to Australia and had the pleasure of working with Anthony Desreaux of Reata Ranch Horsemanship, solidifying my path as a horseman. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to co-own a training centre near Berry, NSW, and am now focused on creating my own space to share my knowledge, connect with others, and continue learning from every horse I meet.
I’m grateful for the journey so far and excited to share this path with others. Here’s to finding joy and growth in every step—and I hope to see you out on the trail.
